Align and Shine
Align & Shine–this is a mindful, alignment-based, hatha yoga class. Alicia will joyfully guide the class through a practice designed to cultivate mindfulness (presence) within the architecture of asana, breath and movement. The application of mindfulness encourages students to move deeper into conscious awareness of how to actively awaken the map of their body, mind and spirit with observation, curiosity and compassion. Attention to structural detail within the poses helps to clear imbalances and misalignments within the physical and energetic body enabling the practitioner to potently feel their inner brightness. Align and Shine aims to weave the sacred with a sense of humor and will challenge you to work hard while inviting you to stay mindful and curious in your practice. All levels welcomed.
This class combines the flowing style of vinyasa with an emphasis on strengthening the core. Build purifying energy, core and back strength, and awareness of what it means to come from your "core center of being!" All levels welcomed.
Hatha Mixed Level
Slower paced than vinyasa, a Hatha class more deeply explores the alignment, awareness, and breath of each posture and its effects on all aspects of the practitioner--physically, mentally, and emotionally. Each class includes physical postures, or asana, deep relaxation, breathing practices and mediation, which can be practiced by students of any age and physical ability. Modifications will be given to match your skill level, as well as ways to advance to more challenging postures. Great for beginners with its emphasis on technique and alignment and for more advanced practitioners who want to slow down and deepen their understanding of themselves and the yoga postures.
When you want to take your yoga a bit more gently, move more slowly, and stretch more deeply, this is the class for you! Each pose is explored in a way that is easeful and peaceful, at a pace that allows for a pause in between. This is Hatha Yoga experienced with a little more emphasis on the “tha” moon energy - soothing, cooling and calming. A practice for all levels who want a break from the pace of life, and older yogis who just want to be.
Heated Vinyasa Yoga
Students will learn to integrate breath with movement, flowing through a series of postures that will strengthen, build flexibility and increase endurance, bringing you to a place of deep inner calm. The heat encourages greater flexibility and detoxification. Bring a towel, mat and water. All levels welcomed.
Heated Hour of Power
If you love the 90 minute class, but are short on time, join us for this 60 minute Heated Power Vinyasa class. Be prepared to sweat and energize in this class, shorter on time, but not on power!
Kundalini Yoga is a 5,000-year-old authentic system of yogic exercise and meditation that promotes health, happiness, and spiritual awareness. There are three basic components to Kundalini Yoga. There are the physical postures, literally thousands of kriyas (exercise sets) that strengthen and balance the nervous system, the glandular system and the circulatory system to promote optimum physical and emotional health. Breathing techniques (pranayam) assist a person in processing emotions and feelings, controlling moods, and developing concentration. Mantra (sound) and meditation techniques work to direct and discipline the mind. The practice of this yoga can give you the strength, courage and radiance to meet all of life’s challenges with grace. All levels welcomed.

The Vinyasa style blends the ancient wisdom of many yogic traditions including Ashtanga, Iyengar and traditional Hatha into a new expression. It is a dynamic, flowing yoga that connects movements with breath through a series of postures that will strengthen, increase flexibility and build endurance. All levels welcomed.
Yin Restorative Yoga
The Taoist concept of Yin and Yang teaches that opposites work together, in harmony, to create balance. A full yoga practice includes both Yin and Yang yoga. Yang yoga places emphasis on activity and muscle movement, while Yin yoga focuses on slow, meditative movement to encourage deep release of connective tissue. This stimulates a healthy flow of energy in the body. Yin Restorative Yoga is a fusion of Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga and nurtures a profound release of tension physically, mentally, and emotionally. The use of cushions and blankets to support you in the poses is encouraged to help bring you to a place of deep peace. A calming Yin Restorative Yoga can take your Yang practice ever deeper. All levels welcomed.
Yin-Yasa (Yin and Vinyasa in one class!)
Yin-Yasa begins with 20 minutes of passive yin postures to target the deeper layers of connective tissues in the body, creating space and integrity in the joints while removing blockages to the internal energy flow known as chi or prana. This will be followed by 30 minutes of slow-flow vinyasa. Opening the body slowly allows for the release of deep toxins and unravels long held muscular tension. The vinyasa portion invites you to focus on healthy alignment while discovering the pose within your body. A ten minute guided relaxation seals the practice. By balancing the Yin and Yang aspects (lengthening and strengthening), the body eventually returns to its natural state of health. This therapeutic combination leaves one in a state of bliss and harmony!
Yin Yoga is known as the Quiet Practice or the Practice of Quiet Power and is a complement to the more vigorous Yang practices such as Vinyasa, Hatha, or Kundalini. It is a dynamic blend of modern meridian theory, floor poses held in quiet tranquility, and the contemplative teachings of mindfulness and meditation. The practice addresses every level of our being: physical, emotional, energetic and spiritual. It is based on the Taoist concept of opposites – Yin and Yang. Traditional Yin Yoga focuses on the deeper layers of the body. All Yin poses are practiced on the floor and are held for 3-5 minutes or longer if appropriate. Props are used as needed. The long-held quiet Yin postures soften and release the connective tissue and primarily target the bones, joints, tendons and ligaments. The connective tissue (fascia) houses the meridian system, known to many of us through acupuncture and shiatsu. Relaxing in the poses encourages the release of muscular tension and an increase of flexibility in the joints. This, in turn releases blockages of energy (chi or prana) in the meridian pathways (nadis or energy channels). Within the context of Eastern medicine, “the unimpeded flow of chi’’ restores balance in the psycho/emotional, energy and spiritual bodies. The contemplative practice of mindfulness meditation within the poses, helps to cultivate an internal atmosphere of inquiry, receptivity and compassion leading to a state of tranquilty. All levels welcomed.
