Kundalini Yoga
Donald has been involved with various forms of spiritual practices since college. He began a regular Kundalini Yoga practice five years ago and feels like it's the ideal combination of spiritual, emotional, mental and physical work that one can offer oneself. He refers to Kundalini Yoga as "Devotion in Motion." Through his own journey — its ups/downs and ins/outs — Donald has discovered that a dedicated practice of yoga, meditation, and mantra along with healthy lifestyle choices can allow one to uncover the spirit within, so that one can share that spirit with others.
He has completed many Kundalini workshops, with teachers such as Hari Kaur Khalsa and Mata Mandir Singh, and other programs with Sufi Master Sheikh Ferdousi, along with men's workshops with his teacher Tom Speare. He is also exploring how to help those in recovery from addictions combine the power of Kundalini Yoga with their own program and process to optimize their healing. He is an avid power vinyasa practictioner, enjoys cycling and preparing vegetarian meals. Donald will be completing the 220 hour KRI Level One Certification program in Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan offered at Tenth Gate this year. His credo is: Show UP! Keep UP!
